Captives

Please oh please join us in prayer for the captured
Koreans in Afganistan. Seems as though our media
has not found this worthy enough to cover.
God's peace be theirs today.

Eugene Cho has been following better than I can.

Doping AGAIN?

As an avid cycling fan and rider myself, I am so depressed to learn once more that doping has come up in Tour De France.
I was so excited to see Vino an injured yet tough rider win two of the last three stages of the Tour. Only to to find out he had been tested positive for a blood transfusion. Is there any hope for pure sport anymore? I don't think so...at least not today.

catch up pics

I just thought that I would post some of the pictures from the last couple months. They are a bit random. The first few are of Ethan's birthday party... lovely chaos. Ethan was so appreciative with each present he would give a large "OOOOOOO!" at each one. Way to be, Ethan. Grammy got Ethan this tent&tunnel system that has been the life of the party on more than one occasion. When I get pictures from my friend Nina I will post some of Ethan and his friend Luke in the tent too. Enjoy!!!

Copy Cute

Latley Ethan has been perfecting his copying skills. At the park the other day he found a friend, Roshin. They spent the next half hour playing follow the leader. Roshin would run and Ethan would follow his exact path around the park and down the slide...it was pretty adorable. I was actually really impressed that Ethan could remember Roshin's exact path because he was often quite far behind. What a smart boy I have. :) I wish that I had pictures... Roshin was an Indian version of Ethan! The big eyes, round face, lots of hair...man they were cute.
This morning Dane was stretching after his run and Ethan plopped down beside him with his cup. He positioned himself just like Dane, another one of those millions of times that I would love to know what exactly is going on in his head. I know the time will come when the copying thing will get exasperating but right now its still pretty darn cute.

Bikes and Prayer

I had been praying for a way to pay for a decent bike so I could ride to work and to exercise on. God hears even the simplest of our prayer. Friday night I was given
a bike to ride that is just amazing. God is good.

Expotition

Yesterday Ethan and I took and expotition, as Pooh calls them. I took four of our 4-6th graders up for a week at Alpine Camp. Because of some rediculously complicated curcimstances I ended up taking Ethan with me for the 6 hour car ride there and back. I am just laughing now because I was so nervous and he did beautifully!! In fact, he was much better behaved than my 7-10 year olds. :) I wish that I could have taken a picture of him sitting quietly in his carseat with his ankles crossed looking at his Thomas book that Great Grandma and Grandpa Anderson gave him in the midst of complete chaos complete with flying food! It was all I could do not to bust up laughing and concentrate on driving! I just love God's sense of humor. Once we got to camp and had check in our kiddos, Ethan and I got to hang out for a while. The Jr. Highers are at camp too and so Erin, our youth pastor gave us a tour. Ethan climbed up a crazy steep hill, like a mountain for him, played soccer with the kids, danced during music at chapel and had a generally fantastic time. He was facitnated with the pinecones and squirrls. I think that he would have been perfectly fine with staying if I had let him! Needless to say he passed out all the way home. It turned out to be a fantastic day. Yea!!

Trainland

Ethan, as you know, has fully entered trainland. He is absoutley obsessed!!! Often he wakes up in the morning naming all the trains... Peecy (Percy), James, Henry, Gordon, cars.... on and on. He has found a new hobby of driving his trains on the wall outside our house. Many evenings and mornings he can be found driving Thomas back and forth with very great amounts of concentration. I must say that it is quite adorable! I would love to know the stories that are going on in his little mind. I just love that God gives us these beautiful moments along with the crazy challenging ones.

Foul Mood Day!

It is supposed to be a day off for us as a family. But is any day with a two year old a day off. I THINK NOT!! Ethan has been a foul mood as of late maybe the last of his teeth more likely he is just two. Here is how he finally calmed down this morning. Playing with his bath toys in the bathroom for the longest time
