Visits
We just got back from being in Illinois for my grandmothers funeral. Such a tough experience but rich with God's presence. Julia's mother is here for a week. We have been having a great time reconnecting over the last day or so. Tired tonight still trying to recover from all our travel.

Catching You Up
Dane and Ethan Running this afternoon.
Life in San Diego has been a little hectic to say the least. I have decided that it doesn't pay in ministry to take your vacation in August. We have felt so behind the ball as of the last week or so. Julia has started a second job outside of the church working at a local school as a teachers assistant. The best part is that Ethan gets to go with her each day and play with all the kids. He is sleeping like never before!! Joy of all joys. I have been desperately trying to get meetings and fall ministry off the ground. As of yesterday I finally feel sort of on top of things. We continue going through some really tough times at the church. Lots of unaswered questions about the future. It is a really tough place to be in again so soon after leaving Washington.
Hope you enjoyed the pictures of the last few weeks.

Giggles
I caught him in the act!!! Today Dane and I were up in our room talking and from downstairs comes Ethan's fabulous laugh! Not one of his favorite fake laughs which he practices often... a real live belly laugh. What was he laughing at? That fabulous singing dog that his Grandma & Granpa Anderson got him two Christmases ago. It seems to be a reoccuring theme in our home that Ethan is rediscovering toys and enjoying them much more than the first time around. What a joy he is!
He is growing so fast.... kicking his soccer ball & running at the same time, working so hard to put words to his thoughts, spending hours with his trains & cars, being the friendliest kid around & greeting everyone who passes by. He also has taken to creating art with his bathroom crayons each night in the shower.
Ethan and I went to the aquarium the other day. When we came to the jellyfish exibit without hesitation he squeeled "bubbles!" He also spent much time at the saltwater aquarium fasinated by "Dory" and "baby fish." In this picture we are enjoying an after fish cookie break. I didn't even take the stroller this time, sigh. I have the feeling that my amazement at his growing up so quickly has just begun.

Captives
Please oh please join us in prayer for the captured
Koreans in Afganistan. Seems as though our media
has not found this worthy enough to cover.
God's peace be theirs today.
Eugene Cho has been following better than I can.

Doping AGAIN?
As an avid cycling fan and rider myself, I am so depressed to learn once more that doping has come up in Tour De France.
I was so excited to see Vino an injured yet tough rider win two of the last three stages of the Tour. Only to to find out he had been tested positive for a blood transfusion. Is there any hope for pure sport anymore? I don't think so...at least not today.

catch up pics
I just thought that I would post some of the pictures from the last couple months. They are a bit random. The first few are of Ethan's birthday party... lovely chaos. Ethan was so appreciative with each present he would give a large "OOOOOOO!" at each one. Way to be, Ethan. Grammy got Ethan this tent&tunnel system that has been the life of the party on more than one occasion. When I get pictures from my friend Nina I will post some of Ethan and his friend Luke in the tent too. Enjoy!!!
